Our Mission
Our mission is to strengthen moral values and social awareness in the country. This includes promoting ideal and value-based education, linking talented youth with skill-based opportunities, and running voluntary schemes for the nation's economic, social and cultural progress. We make sustained efforts to give moral support to public-interest government schemes, to raise public awareness against social evils, and to preserve Indian systems of medicine, organic farming, cattle wealth and cultural heritage. We are also committed to honouring individuals dedicated to national service, and thereby creating an atmosphere of inspiration.

Bharat Ratna Nanda Moral ‘Jyoti’
Flag-bearers of Virtuous Conduct A value-based mission — ‘Moral Jyoti’ — proposed by Shri Krishnaraj Arun, Chairman of the Gulzarilal Nanda Foundation of former PM Bharat Ratna Nanda Ji and his closest disciple, the meaning of a new awakening of society for the nation.
Carrying forward the legacy of Gulzarilal Nanda Ji, Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister and symbol of virtuous conduct, the ‘Value-Based Mission: Moral Jyoti’ proposed by the Foundation is an extremely important initiative for the nation.
This mission is like a new torch for a moral renaissance (Social Reawakening) in society.
Five Pillars — Choose and Read
The main aim of ‘Moral Jyoti’ is to bring the wandering younger generation onto the path of morality and to revive Gandhian values and the importance of the sacrifice of every freedom fighter of India. Bharat Ratna Nanda Ji lit the torch of virtuous conduct, and this mission seeks to establish those same principles of morality at the core of the nation.
This mission is not merely about politics, but a comprehensive effort for the advancement of society. It includes establishing Moral Ideal Schools, connecting skilled talents with nation-building, and awakening public awareness against social evils.
Nanda ji was known for “dynasty-free politics” and as a “saint in white clothes.” He believed that the progress of the nation must rest not only on material foundations but on moral ones. ‘Naitik Jyoti’ means moving toward a corruption-free, honest and duty-bound system of governance.
The Gulzarilal Nanda Foundation’s ‘Naitik Jyoti’ mission is not merely ideological but practical as well. It aims to make the rural economy self-reliant by promoting products made from cow dung (Gokashth, incense sticks) and organic farming (Organic State), which has been described as “Kachre se Kanchan” (Waste to Wealth).
This initiative lends moral strength to public-interest work in the schemes of the Government of India and the states, so that the benefits of development reach the last person in society honestly.
Conclusion: The ‘Naitik Jyoti’ mission means making India a strong nation not only economically, but in character as well. It is a call to build an honest and prosperous India while preserving the legacy of Nanda ji.

Cow-Dung Gas Scheme from Cattle Wealth
Whether it is cooking gas or shortages ranging from manure to electricity — the cow-dung gas scheme from cattle wealth will end them; no more shortages.
The Gulzarilal Nanda Foundation showed options for cooking gas from cattle wealth and NADEP compost cow-dung manure that increases soil fertility. Efforts will be made to encourage the promotion of an orchard scheme of mango, drumstick, neem and jamun that improves soil fertility and is environment-friendly.

Our Inspiration
Gulzarilal Nanda — A Senior Freedom Fighter of India
Gulzarilal Nanda was a great freedom fighter of India, a true Gandhian and a symbol of politics based on moral values. He is especially known for his simplicity, honesty and spirit of service.
Gulzarilal Nanda was born on 4 July 1898 in Sialkot (then British India, now Pakistan). He received higher education and initially worked as a teacher. Later, influenced by the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi, he joined the freedom movement.
Nanda ji took an active part in the Non-Cooperation Movement and other national movements. During this time he had to go to jail several times. He always walked the path of non-violence and truth.
After independence he became the Minister of Labour and Employment in the Government of India. He framed important policies for workers’ rights, social justice and welfare.
He twice served as India’s Acting Prime Minister — in 1964 after the demise of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, and in 1966 after the demise of Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Even while holding the highest office of Prime Minister, he did not crave power. His life was extremely simple, disciplined and full of moral values.
He was honoured with the Bharat Ratna in 1997. He passed away on 15 January 1998.
The life of Gulzarilal Nanda is regarded as a source of inspiration for morality, service and sacrifice in Indian politics.
